Foot Fetishes?

I kid, but still. I need help understanding one of the most common fetishes.

I understand most fetishes that are out there. It doesn't mean that I'm turned on by all of the different fetishes that are out there, but at some level, I at least understand the appeal and why they exist. I get it. At least as much as I can.

But what is it about feet? Not only do I not understand the appeal of feet, but I don't even know where to start in figuring out what would make a particular foot or set of feet sexy. Like, are the below feet sexy?

I've just never been able to wrap my head around foot fetishes. Which is a little surprising since it seems to be one of the most common fetishes out there and I can get the appeal of most fetishes, even if I don't share in the desire at all. But with feet, I have no idea what it is that turns some people on. And is it specifically women's feet or men's feet or does it matter? What makes one person's feet sexier than another person's? And do you need to see the person to be attracted to the feet?

I had a friend that went to grad school in a different part of the country, but she ended up dating a mutual guy friend of ours while there. She let it slip that he had a foot fetish, resulting in almost all bedroom play revolving to some degree around her feet. I asked her to explain what the appeal of it all was, but even she didn't get it, even after indulging in his fetish for months.

I dunno. Most people seem to have fetishes for somewhat personal, individualized reasons, so I wouldn't expect there to be a quick and easy answer. I just wish something about it "clicked" for me.

The article is from 2018  and doesn't go into detail about the extent of the fantasy, but 58% of men fantasize about cuckolding .  Which isn't really all that surprising to me. Why Do Women Enjoy Hotwifing and Cuckolding?

I  wrote about the various reasons why men enjoy cuckolding earlier, which you can find here: Why Do Men Enjoy Cuckolding?   It occurred to me, though, that a second post on this topic was needed and that I just hadn't written it yet. I guess I assumed that the benefits for women were just so obvious that they didn't need to be explored? I don't know why it's taken this long. I think there are some obvious perks, even if the topic is still pretty complicated.  I think women are nearly as likely to wonder if there is something wrong with them for wanting to be a hotwife as men are for wanting a hotwife. And there are many reasons for that.
