Our Throuple is Done

several hearts breaking away from many, polyamory, divorce

Well, not our throuple. While I've had guys I've regularly hooked up while with my husband, we've never been part of a throuple. And I don't think either of us are equipped for it, really. I've thought about polyamory a lot over the years, and even though it has a certain appeal, it isn't for me. Being polyamorous and being a swinger are very different things and I would much rather be able to say "I have a husband two friends with benefits" instead of "I have a husband and two boyfriends."

But more on that in a later post. I've digressed.

Back on point. Sadly, my husband and I watched from our front yard while playing with our dog a few nights ago as one of the members of the all-male throuple across the street loaded all of his belongings into a U-Haul and drove away.

We make a point to know as little about out neighbors as possible, but you can't help but notice a throuple living next to you. Especially an all-male throuple living in a sleepy suburb. I don't know what happened to end their happy threesome, but it's too bad to see it end. They've always been nice. And like every other couple, just with 50% more.

Good for them to live their lives, though. Throuples and swinging and anything close to it is still kept very much under wraps.

Still, and I'm sure I'm not reading too much into it or exaggerating, but I worry this may be a sign that there is no more love in this world. This is as tragic as when the Girls Next Door and Hugh Hefner couldn't make it.

About Me

My photo
Alicia Stills
I am a busy wife and mother who has been writing for most of my life. Beginning in May of 2020, I have finally started the process of publishing some of the items I have written. Most of my writings are focused in the romance and erotica genres, particularly those that feature women who are romantically or physically involved with two (or more) men. Most of my stories are purely of my own imagination, although many are inspired to some degree by my own experiences. I took a hiatus from writing for myself when I enrolled in grad school and it took me several years after graduation to start writing again. Even then, I only decided to start publishing my work after receiving encouragement from my husband. While my stories are often an expression of fantasy, I strive to create realistic characters and feasible situations. I feel as though readers are able to become more invested in a story when they can picture everything occurring. As far as I’ve been able to determine, all pictures are being used appropriately on this blog. If I’ve incorrectly used a picture that belongs to you, please let me know as it was not intentional.
